The Insurance Institute of Uganda (IIU) hosted CEO’s in the insurance industry to a training aimed at providing coaching and emotional intelligence training on work place issues for increased engagement and productivity.


Insurance institute hosts insurance captains to a Master Class

The training that was conducted in partnership with Abacus Business School (ABS) saw captains in the insurance industry address issues in the industry for sustainable competitive advantage.


While addressing the CEO’s, Saul Sseremba, Chief Executive Officer of the institute re-affirmed the institute’s commitment to enhancing professionalism in the insurance sector using such platforms as trainings with industry top leadership.

“We are on the journey of transforming into an insurance training college a development that gives us an opportunity to work more effectively towards the growth of the insurance industry,” said Sseremba,

“We should therefore use this platform to address challenges with the decision makers and also find solutions to the challenges”.

Renowned economist, Ramadan Ggoobi who was one of the trainers of the day urged insurers to embrace the changing temperatures in insurance and ride on them to increase insurance penetration in the country.

The one-day long event was held on August 8, at the institute.
