On 29th July 2024, Insurance CEOs attended the 1st International Leadership and Market Exposure programme in the UK, organized by the Insurance Training College in partnership with the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK. The four-day immersive experience brought together top executives from leading insurance, brokerage, and HMOs companies, including the Insurance Brokers Association, Edge Microinsurance, Jubilee Life, Jubilee Allianz, Claim Care, Clarkson Insurance, Kengbright Reinsurance Brokers, Jubilee Health Insurance, and more. Notably, the CEO of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda, Alhaj Kaddunabbi Ibrahim Lubega, was also in attendance.

The programme covered modules on Transformational Leadership and Cultural Change, Organisational Culture, Century Leader, Ethical Leadership, Future of Insurance, and the Impact of Insurtech. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, breakout discussions, and presentations, exploring key aspects of organisational culture, inclusive leadership, and the future of insurance. Renowned insurance consultant Neil Parker facilitated the workshop, sharing his expertise on the impact of InsurTechs, AI, and new technologies in the industry.
The CEOs had the privilege of visiting iconic institutions like the Bank of England and Lloyd's of London, gaining valuable insights into the history and evolution of the British financial sector. At Lloyd's of London, they witnessed the dynamic process of risk placement, while the Bank of England visit revealed the rich history of the UK's central bank and its crucial role in maintaining financial stability.

This programme marks the beginning of ITC's annual global exposure visits, offering transformative growth, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities with peers from around the world. The Ugandan CEOs returned home inspired and equipped with best practices to adopt and innovate, paving the way for growth in our insurance sector.
The programme combined business with pleasure, as participants enjoyed a spectacular tour of London's historical landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, and more. This unforgettable experience will shape the future of insurance, fostering collaboration and innovation among industry leaders.
