Dr. Walusimbi Abdul Hafiz
Dr. Walusimbi Abdul Hafiz is a distinguished academician and leader of active participation in national and international consultancy, training, research, and academic discourses. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Religion and Peace Studies at Makerere University Kampala, Head of Department and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Shariah at Islamic University in Uganda. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Technical Halal Committee at the Uganda National Bureau of Standards and the Shariah Committee at the House of Zakat and Wakf, Uganda.
Dr. Walusimbi holds a PhD in Islamic Law from International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan, an MBA in Project Management from Preston University, Kohat, Pakistan, and various diplomas in Law, Islamic Banking and Finance, and Education. He has also obtained degrees in Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, and Shariah from Islamic University in Uganda.
Dr. Walusimbi has demonstrated his expertise and leadership in various roles, including Director of Shariah and Legal Affairs at the Office of the Supreme Mufti, Kibuli, and Chairman of the Uganda National Examinations Committee for Idaad and Thanawi. He is also a Regional Facilitator, Trainer, and Researcher at the International Institute of Islamic Thought.
